What we do
Doors, trim, drywall, ceilings, siding, fixtures, and the jobs that never fit neatly into one category.
Built-ins, fireplace surrounds, shelving, custom trim, and careful solutions for older homes.
Floating floors, transitions, base and quarter round, painting, patching, and room refreshes.
A practical alternative to a full gut when the sound parts of the room can stay and the finish needs new life.
Project 01 · Full basement conversion
This was a complete conversion. Starting with open concrete-block walls and an exposed ceiling, we framed the rooms, added electrical and plumbing, insulated, hung and finished the drywall, installed lighting, painted, laid the floor, and completed the trim.

Project 02 · Custom exterior repair
The original textured face around the front door and windows was damaged and discontinued. I shaped and duplicated the missing face by hand, matched the block pattern and texture, then painted it with color-matched Sherwin-Williams elastomeric paint.

Project 03 · Fireplace & built-ins
An existing fireplace had been left rough and uneven. We rebuilt the brick face, fitted new shelving around the original structure, and tied the whole wall together with a clean painted finish.

More real projects
No catalog photographs and no borrowed jobs. Every image below came from a Ramsay Remodeling project.
04 · Custom project
Built from the ground up with custom framing, translucent panels, finished trim, and a one-of-a-kind door. This is the kind of project where every detail had to be figured out and fitted—not pulled from a kit.

05 · Repair work
These openings could not be solved with a box of tongue-and-groove flooring. I ripped solid oak to the exact widths, cut and fitted each piece, face-nailed the repair, filled the nail holes, and matched the existing golden finish.

06 · Door restoration
This old entry door had worn finish, damaged surfaces, a missing pane of glass, and detailed woodwork surrounding the remaining glass. Instead of throwing it away, I replaced the missing glass, stripped and sanded the failing finish, repaired the damaged areas, carefully masked every pane and the latticework, then primed and painted the door for a clean new life.

Old glued flooring removed, surface prepared, new flooring fitted cleanly through the rooms and trim.

Existing tile preserved and refinished to give the room a clean new life without needless demolition.

Only the failed boards needed replacement. Cleaning, preparation, and a solid-color finish made the old and new lumber read as one deck again.

The actual crew
Ramsay Remodeling is owner-operated. Rob is responsible for the work and is on the job, with Mr. Umesh working alongside him. No sales crew, no mystery subcontractor photos, and definitely no brand-new hard hats.

Why Ramsay
Ramsay Remodeling / Handy Ramsay Services LLC handles the kind of work that takes judgment: matching what is already there, making an older home behave, and finding a sensible solution without automatically tearing everything out.
You’ll see real jobs here—unfinished rooms, dust, repairs in progress, and the finished result. That is a better picture of how we work than any catalog photograph could give you.
